Making Belief Believable – January 18, 2015

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is 2015 ~ A Portal Into New Beginnings.

None of us want to consider ourselves as being a psychological antique—the same person year in and year out. So we make New Year’s resolutions and set our intention to break old habits that no longer serve us and create an opening for our mental, physical, financial and spiritual evolutionary progress. Let us begin 2015 with the collective intention to deepen our embodiment of spiritual principle and commitment to practice Spiritual Mind Treatment. Imagine the possibilities we can manifest. The topic on January 18, 2015 was Making Belief Believable. There’s nothing like direct experience to make belief believable! When Jesus uttered the words, “It is done unto you as you believe,” it was an unconditional declaration that the cherished beliefs that dominate our belief system will take outer form in our lives. How many of our beliefs are founded in the societal conditioning we have received from parents, religion, our culture, education, government? Beliefs are a form of answers to conscious and unconscious questions we ask. Do your answers deserve to be questioned?

The topic on January 11, 2015 was Spirit’s Got Your Back! It’s true: You are covered in Spirit’s mantle of protective Grace. In fact, you are made from the very fabric of it. How frequently throughout the day do you bend a knee of gratitude before the overarching Presence living within you, guarding and guiding you? “For the Lord God is a shield,” we are reminded in Psalm 84:11-12, “…the Lord will give you grace…no good thing will be withheld from them that walk uprightly.” What a precious way to walk in the world.

Carrying the aftereffects of prayer into our daily activities keeps us mindful, inspired, and available to Spirit’s inflow of creativity, peace, joy, to divine guidance in our choice-making. And, profoundly grateful.

The Life Abundant – December 28, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Join the Cosmic Celebration!

We sometimes complain how materialistic Christmas has become, yet in our hearts no one nor no thing can take the Christ-spirit out of this beautiful, sacred season. That our planet was graced by such a master teacher and way shower as Jesus, a true spiritual carpenter, is a profound, immeasurable blessing. The topic on December 28, 2014 was The Life Abundant. There are no greater riches than the realization of our inner wealth of enlightened consciousness and tasting its sweetness, its joys and realities. And what a delight to know that in this three-dimensional world in which we live, move, and have our being, we have been provided universal laws we can activate to create the life we design from within. Not to be confused with “control” or manipulating the law so our ego can have its own way, when we apply the principles governing the universe we become a witness to our divine, limitless birthright of consciously creating our life abundant.

The Proof Is in the Practice – December 14, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Join the Cosmic Celebration!

We sometimes complain how materialistic Christmas has become, yet in our hearts no one nor no thing can take the Christ-spirit out of this beautiful, sacred season. That our planet was graced by such a master teacher and way shower as Jesus, a true spiritual carpenter, is a profound, immeasurable blessing. The topic on December 14, 2014 was The Proof Is in the Practice. There is no substitute for spiritual practice. When we look at the lives of Jesus and the Buddha, we see that they practiced their own teachings, that their teachings literally emerged out of their inner spiritual practices. The teachings of Science of Mind are likewise rooted in Dr. Holmes’s study and practice of ancient teachings of East and West. What generosity of heart that these spiritual luminaries shared with us in the universal principles and practices leading to inner awakening. Listening, reading, discussing and appreciating these principles is one thing, but to prove their brilliance and power in your everyday experience can only be known through practice, practice, practice.

The Cosmic Call – December 7, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Join the Cosmic Celebration!

We sometimes complain how materialistic Christmas has become, yet in our hearts no one nor no thing can take the Christ-spirit out of this beautiful, sacred season. That our planet was graced by such a master teacher and way shower as Jesus, a true spiritual carpenter, is a profound, immeasurable blessing. The topic on December 7, 2014 was The Cosmic Call. From deep within the core Self arises the cosmic call to discover and live your soul-purpose. This inner urge simply won’t go away. In fact, it can’t go away, so powerfully is it etched in your spiritual DNA. What Ernest Holmes described as our “inherent inner impulsion” is what twenty-first century science calls neurotheology: the results of what shows up on brain scans of chanting Sikhs, meditating Buddhists, and praying individuals and how it shapes the mind and spirit. In the stillness of your Self, listen deeply; from your heart, respond jubilantly to the universal Reality that connects us to All that there is.

The Unconditional Quality of Forgiveness – November 30, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Gratitude: An Unconditional Quality of Consciousness.

There is a profound reason why the practice of spiritual mind treatment includes the step of thanksgiving: it reminds us that all that we need to wake up to our true nature and live the life divine has already been given to us by our Creator Source. The topic on November 30, 2014 was The Unconditional Quality of Forgiveness. Have you ever had the experience of withholding forgiveness because you thought it would let the perceived perpetrator off the hook of accountability? Or what about the colloquialism of forgiving but not forgetting? Unconditional forgiveness is not about allowing abusive behavior to repeat itself or about righteous indignation. It is about unburdening ourselves from the bondage of the ego holding an unrelenting grudge, whether it is against ourselves or others. It is about being humbly grateful that “as ye forgive, so are ye forgiven.”

The Inseparability of Love and Forgiveness – November 23, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Gratitude: An Unconditional Quality of Consciousness.

There is a profound reason why the practice of spiritual mind treatment includes the step of thanksgiving: it reminds us that all that we need to wake up to our true nature and live the life divine has already been given to us by our Creator Source. The topic on November 23, 2014 was The Inseparability of Love and Forgiveness. The question is not about whether we ourselves or someone whom we perceive as having slighted us are worthy of forgiveness. The question is about whether or not we have the abundance of love to forgive both ourselves and others. When we withhold forgiveness, we withhold love. As the adage goes, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.” The more readily we forgive, the more we express the Divine Love within us.

The Empowering Grace of Perseverance – November 16, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Gratitude: An Unconditional Quality of Consciousness.

There is a profound reason why the practice of spiritual mind treatment includes the step of thanksgiving: it reminds us that all that we need to wake up to our true nature and live the life divine has already been given to us by our Creator Source. The topic on November 16, 2014 was The Empowering Grace of Perseverance. Webster’s Dictionary tells us that perseverance is remaining steadfast “in a course of action in spite of difficulties, obstacles, opposition, or discouragement; a continued patient effort.” Our commitment to persevere in our spiritual practices despite any appearances of setbacks, derailments, or distractions is supported by an assisting Grace that empowers us to keep on keeping on. Let us all bend a knee of gratitude in the knowledge that we are not now nor ever will be walking the journey alone.
