The Law of Spiritual Evolution – March 7, 2021

Loving greetings and welcome to the season of renewal, rejuvenation and rejoicing in the Spirit. To those of you who are celebrating Passover, may you and your dear ones receive the fulness of its blessings.

Our theme this month is, “Evolving Your Evolutionary Process.” There are no limits to our ever-evolving spiritual potential, and I invite all of us to come together to activate this powerful law of our being.

The March 7, 2021 topic is The Law of Spiritual Evolution. We evolve spiritually because it is an expression of our innate potential. The question is, are we willing to consciously evolve our evolutionary process? I’m convinced there’s sufficient evidence to say “yes,” because we have freely chosen to come participate in today’s teaching. May doing so energize our spiritual enthusiasm and practice!

Will the True Giver Please Step Forward? – February 28, 2021

How often we hear the words of Jesus to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” I italicize Jesus’s use of “thyself” because it clearly indicates, even assumes, that we do, indeed, love ourselves. Why is it, then, that most of us must work to cultivate self-love, self-forgiveness, self-compassion?

Truth be told, it’s an ever-evolving process to accept how deeply we are cherished by Spirit, to bow in humble acknowledgment that it has chosen to express its formlessness through us in form. And that is why throughout February our theme will be, “The Self-love Experiment.” Together, we will enter the laboratory of our own consciousness and allow grace to take us to higher ground.

The February 28, 2021 topic is Will the True Giver Please Step Forward? One of Ernest Holmes’s frequent statements is about how no one can give to us but ourselves and no one can take anything away from us but ourselves. Now what he meant by this is that no one can accept our good on our behalf and no one can steal it but us. Doesn’t it make sense, then, to open our awareness and claim our empowerment of self-givingness?

The February 21, 2021 topic is How Much Are You Worth to You? The teachings of Science of Mind emphasize the value of self-confidence. Not in the typical psychological sense, but in the spiritual sense that we are of infinite worth because our life is a sacred gift of Spirit. Through Spiritual Mind Treatment, our individual stock goes up in value as we affirm, accept, and give thanks that we are a perfect idea in the mind of God.

The February 14, 2021 topic is Praise Yourself, Raise Yourself. Let us be clear that appreciating ourselves is not about ego driven self-aggrandizement or thinking that we are superior to others. The praise I refer to raises us to a state of conscious realization that we deserve our own self-respect and self-appreciation founded in the acceptance that we live each moment of our lives with the full support of the Universe.

The February 7, 2021 topic is Forgiveness Begins with You. Our aspiration today is that we open our hearts wide enough to forgive the countless years we have inflicted negative self-talk, blame, shame, and undeserved self-sabotage upon ourselves. We will explore the power, grace, and freedom found in forgiveness, beginning with self-forgiveness and then extending it to others.

The January 31, 2021 topic is Difficult People: Are They Blessings or Blockages? As you read these words, most likely there are some “difficult people” who are a source of irritation in your life. The foremost question to ask is, “What within me is being irritated?” Is it ego, as in your image of yourself? Attachment to cherished beliefs, opinions? The second most important question is: “How may I apply spiritual principle to skillfully work with this challenge?”

Through acceptance of this gift, we enable ourselves to consciously participate in this sacred collaboration.

The Way It Works – January 10, 2021

My heart thanks each one of you for the loving support you so generously give both to me and to our online community, and I wish each of you and your dear ones the deepest blessings in the New Year.

As we enter the portal of 2021, let us walk together confidently, with absolute trust in Spirit, in ourselves, in one another. The January 10, 2021 topic is The Way It Works. Does Spirit have a job description to which we can hold It accountable? The truth is, Spirit does not change up on us, never goes against its Universal Laws governing the universe. So perhaps it is we who must hold ourselves accountable, to deepen our commitment to living by that which Dr. Holmes describes as Love and Law.

The January 3, 2021 topic is The Thing Itself. What is this Unnamable One, the “It” out of which we have emerged, live, move and have our being? Is it perceivable, even knowable? Can we turn to it for guidance in the everyday details of our lives, and if so, how? This Sunday we will explore how the Science of Mind principles respond to this natural seeking of the soul.
