The Gift of Delay – May 31, 2020

As our global family faces the impact of the novel Coronavirus, no matter how many times we hear or read the words “We’re in this together,” let us remember that they point to a universal truth. For as the master teacher Jesus affirms in Corinthians 12:26: “If one member suffers, all suffer together, if one member is honored, all rejoice together,” which is to say we are one in the Spirit. So each day as we pray for ourselves, loved ones, world leaders and all beings, let us recall his words, knowing that together we will get through this and the day will arrive when we will “all rejoice together,” even in the midst of our collective challenges.

As we come together to celebrate this month’s theme, “The Anatomy of Belief,” know that I hold each one of you and all your dear ones in prayer.

The May 31, 2020 topic is The Gift of Delay. Most of us think of the word “delay” as a synonym for “procrastinate.” But upon taking a closer look, we will realize that by delaying instant responses, reactions and actions might be the higher part of wisdom, that pausing to take a mindful breath leads to wisdom-guided decisions.

Where There Is Doubt Let Me Sow Faith, Where There Is Despair Let Me Sow Hope, Where There Is Darkness and Sadness Let Me Sow Light and Joy – April 26, 2020

As we celebrate Easter and Passover holidays, they will no doubt be etched in our collective memory as being the most unforgettably unique in our cultural, familial, and spiritual history. While members of the world’s spiritual communities will be gathering together online rather than in person, let us be mindful of the truth that there is no distance between souls. This is the very basis of our trust in why we need not be in one another’s physical presence for spiritual mind treatment to manifest, for the energy of loving-kindness and compassion to embrace and uplift our global family.

It is in this spirit that I invite you to tune into our virtual community—via podcast or on our website—each Sunday as we connect heartfully to this month’s theme, “I Am Your Instrument,” and allow spiritual principle and practice to stir our hearts and move us into a peaceful state of intent and faith.

The topic on April 26, 2020, was Where There Is Doubt Let Me Sow Faith, Where There Is Despair Let Me Sow Hope, Where There Is Darkness and Sadness Let Me Sow Light and Joy. This morning we will stand strong in the Spirit as a declaration of our faith. We will activate the inherent hope within our individual hearts and radiate it out to our global family. Remembering who and what we are as individualized expressions of Spirit, we will light up the world with the healing energy of Joy. And rejoice in it.

Where There is Hatred Let Me Sow Love – April 12, 2020

As we celebrate Easter and Passover holidays, they will no doubt be etched in our collective memory as being the most unforgettably unique in our cultural, familial, and spiritual history. While members of the world’s spiritual communities will be gathering together online rather than in person, let us be mindful of the truth that there is no distance between souls. The topic on April 12, 2020, was Where There is Hatred Let Me Sow Love. Simply hearing, saying, or reading the words “hatred” and “love” have an immediate energetic influence upon us. The good news is that hatred can never override love as the essence of our being. Our part, especially at this time, is to keep before us these words of Dr. Holmes: “Love is the very energy of our existence, for each of us has emerged out of Spirit’s Divine Love.”

Poised for Evolutionary Progress – March 29, 2020

How uplifting it is that there are books, movies, and records of heroes (and, at last, heroines!) who discover magnificent treasures. Each of us is a potential hero/heroine fully equipped to journey deep into the cavern of our own being and find more of our true creative power.

This month’s theme is “Poised for Progress.” Each week we will embark on a courageous adventure into our own consciousness and, with open joyful hearts, greet the infinite self that is balanced, composed and self-assured.

The topic on March 29, 2020, was Poised for Evolutionary Progress. Our level of awareness of what it takes to live a mindful, awake life grounded in the laws governing the universe forms the causes that create the conditions that appear in our lives. When we take responsibility for inwardly poising ourselves to evolve spiritually, we simultaneously impact the everyday aspects of what it means to be “a spiritual being having a human experience.”
