Psalm 91: A Lifetime Guarantee that Can’t Be Beat! – June 26, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

In his wisdom, Ernest Homes neutrally referred to the Bible as “The Grand Old Book,” saying this of it:

“We shall approach our study [of the Bible] with the idea in mind that we are working out a philosophy of life which deals with man’s relationship to Spirit. No attempt will be made to explain all the intricate sayings of the Bible, but rather to analyze those passages which have a direct meaning and significance in everyday living.” And that is precisely what we will be doing throughout the month of June when our theme will be, “The Wisdom of the Grand Old Book.”

The topic on June 26, 2016, was Psalm 91: A Lifetime Guarantee that Can’t Be Beat! When we live, move and have our being “in the place of the Most High,” we abide in the shadow of the Almighty and its protection. Protection from what? From the false beliefs in lack, limitation, fear, worry-the “pestilence” that invades our minds through popular media, and societal conditioning. Living from a consciousness of One Power, we are shielded, guarded and guided by its overarching Presence in our lives.

Complete Trust

I live, move and have my being in the one presence, the one power, the one mind, the one life, God, infinite good. I let the magnificent power and presence of divine love have its way through me. I surrender to divine wisdom and trust in its guidance in all that I think and do.

I attract the best and give no power to anything else. I am grateful for my responsibilities and accept them as part of my growth. Each opportunity offers expansion, a larger expression and uplifts my spirit. I entertain no false thought or belief that could hold me back or impede the full and adequate expression of God-vision. I am grateful for my enthusiasm that fuels progression with a positive and constructive harmonious flow of energy. Each endeavor is worthy of my energy, time and full attention. Whatever is presented, I am ready, able and fully equipped to successfully carry out to completion. I am a divine being living a divine life and divine right action takes place through all that I do.

I relax, rejoice, give thanks and accept that this demonstration is complete, and so it is!!

Is the Soil of Your Consciousness Fertile Enough to Receive? – June 19, 2016

The topic on June 19, 2016, was Is the Soil of Your Consciousness Fertile Enough to Receive? Healthy soil is receptive to nurturing the seed that is sowed within it. Likewise, the soil we til in consciousness is of four types: roadside, which is hard and compact and therefore unreceptive; rocky, which lacks sufficient soil and depth for a seed to take root; thorny, which chokes the soil with thistles; and fertile, which welcomes the seeds, nourishes and multiplies them. How is your garden of consciousness growing?

Let us send our thoughts and prayers to all of those who were involved in the recent shooting at Pulse in Orlando, Florida last Sunday morning. There are no words to express the gut-wrenching sadness that I feel, and I am sure you are feeling it as well. Where there is sadness there will be wisdom. A senseless act of violence took the lives of too many people and left the rest deeply wounded – physically, emotionally and spiritually. May their healing be swift, and with grace and ease. For those who lost their loved ones, we know that life will never be quite the same, yet we also know that Spirit surrounds them with the strength to move forward.

As difficult as it is to not be overtaken by anger or fear, that is our work and this is our opportunity to rise to greatness and remember the Truth: we are all one. Together, through our united prayers, we can contribute to the healing of our beloved global community. Let us open our collective heart in a love that is as wide as the world, and embrace everyone in it with compassion, kindness and forgiveness.

IIchi Lee’s beautiful Prayer for Peace says it all:

I offer this prayer of peace, Not to the Christian God, Nor to the Buddhist God, Nor to the Islamic God, Nor to the Jewish God, But to the God of all humanity,
For the peace that we wish for is Not a Christian peace,
Nor a Buddhist peace, Nor an Islamic peace, Nor a Jewish peace But a human peace for all of us.
I offer this prayer of peace To the God that lives within all of us That fills us with happiness and joy to make us whole and help us understand life as an expression of love for all human beings.
For no religion can be better Than any other religion For no truth can be truer Than any other truth For no nation can be bigger Than the earth itself.
Help us all go beyond our small limits & realize that we are one That we are all from the earth. That we are all earth people before we are Indians, Koreans, or Americans.
God made the earth, we humans have to make it prosper by realizing that we are of the earth & not of any nation, race, or religion.
By knowing that we are truly one in our spiritual heritage- Let us now apologize to all humanity for the hurt that religions have caused so that we can heal the hurt, Let us now promise to one another to go beyond egotism & competition, to come together as one in God.
I offer this prayer of peace to you the almighty to help us find you within all of us so that we may stand proudly one day before you as one humanity.
I offer this prayer of peace with all my fellow earth people for a lasting peace on earth.

Love, peace and deepest blessings to you,

Rev. Pam

The Voice of Truth

The Voice of Truth speaks to me and through me.
The Voice of Truth guides me and keeps me on
the Path of the Perfect Day.
I will listen to the Inner Voice and It will tell me what
to do in the hour of need.
I shall be told everything that I ought to know when
the time of need arrives, and I shall not be misled.
The Voice of Truth cannot lie, but always speaks
to me from On High.
Nothing enters but This Voice, for it is the Voice of God.
God speaks to me.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son—Is It Still Relevant 2,000 Years Later? – June 5, 2016

The topic on June 5, 2016, was The Parable of the Prodigal Son—Is It Still Relevant 2,000 Years Later? The metaphysical lesson of this parable is something each of us faces many times throughout any given day: “Should I choose this, or that?” Have you considered the basis for your choice-making? Is it like the younger son who went to the “far country,” separate from Source? Or like the son who remained at “home” in a consciousness of oneness with Source?

Divine Determination

I am one with the only source, God, infinite good. I am the totality of Spirit expressing itself as completeness and perfection. I am valuable and valued. I am motivated by divine determination and what I do has meaning. I am not influenced by external situations and the opinions of others. I live a purpose driven life that is sanctioned by God-power. I don’t compromise my standards or principle. I am one with perfect action and divine order. I am equal to any task set before me and use time wisely and intelligently.

Living in present time brings value to each and every moment. My belief in Truth is strong and carries full power. The divine plan for me has supplied me with an unwavering inner strength and power to override any demand. The seed of perfection flourishes in me and that perfection actively expresses itself as the fulfillment of my divine potential. I give recognition to my abilities, talents and skills and appreciate the opportunity for their expression.

I rejoice and give thanks for this perfect demonstration. This word has power and accomplishes the thing for which it is spoken, and so it is!

The Way to Peace

I was created in the image and likeness of God. God functions through me as perfect being. As I stop and rest, I am able to connect with the deep and abiding truth that dwells within me. I surrender the restless human mind and allow the still small voice to guide me with its wisdom and overflowing peace. My consciousness is uncluttered and clear.

There is an intelligent force of love and power that maketh me to lie down in green pastures. I rest back in the everlasting arms for my refuge and strength. I have overcome the world and am in harmony with life. I am the peace and calm that God is. The kingdom of God is at the center of my being. I am the embodiment of divinity and I use it to strengthen me in peaceful and orderly ways.

The God-power that I Am, enriches and fortifies me and transmutes anything unlike it into that which is positive, constructive and affirmative. The way before me is peaceful and serene. My courage is strong and I am illumined by a larger concept of life. I have complete faith in the law of good that governs my life. I rejoice and give thanks for this, I let it be, and so it is!
