Embracing the Spirit of Inner Peace – December 13, 2020

As we enter the holiday season of Christmas, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa, the Board of Directors and Practitioners join me in wishing you and your loved ones a sweet and safe celebration. We also want you to know how much your presence at our Zoom classes inspires us as we walk hand in hand, heart to heart with you during these challenging times. Considering that this can also include financial challenges, your spirit of generosity is deeply appreciated. Let’s stay close in Spirit as we share this month’s theme, “Embracing the Spirit of Celebration.”

Living in the Paradox of Strong Yet Tender – November 29, 2020

Loving greetings to you all and may you and your dear ones have a beautiful Thanksgiving. As the once familiar ground beneath our lives appears to be shifting, let us keep before us the unshakable truth of Spirit’s love and laws governing the universe. Trusting these immutable truths gives rise to our inherent bravery, even as we may feel we’re being cast into an alternate reality. And this is why throughout November our theme will be “Braving the Wilderness,” based on Brené Brown’s book of the same title.

Together we will look deeply into our own spirits and make friends with our inner wilderness, with the hurt, anxiety, uncertainty and more that endeavor to overtake our deeper knowing. This is why we practice, so that in the midst of the storm we know ourselves to be victorious practitioners.

The November 29, 2020 topic is Living in the Paradox of Strong Yet Tender. “To make ‘true belonging’ a daily practice in our lives,” writes Brené Brown, “we’re going to need a strong back and a soft front in order to experience true belonging.” It takes a strong spiritual backbone and a tender heart to express true belongingness. Today we will explore the blessings of living with a passionately giving and open heart, both to ourselves and all beings.

Spirit’s Expressions of Divine Love – October 25, 2020

As I consider the challenging times we are facing, I realize that they are precisely why we practice: so that in the midst of their appearances and uncertainties we remind ourselves of the truth that Spirit is the one certainty, the one Power and Presence that there is. We practice so that in those moments when the “known” evades us, we have unshakable faith in the Unknown and that from It new possibilities are birthed.

And that takes me directly to our traditional October Friendship Month and this month’s theme, “Celebrating the Power of Friendship.” Although we are not currently meeting in person, there is no distance between souls and the bond of friendship we share as a global spiritual community remains unbroken. I invite you to join us each week this month as we honor this truth principle.

We practice so that in those moments when the “known” evades us, we have unshakable faith in the Unknown and that from It new possibilities are birthed.

I invite you to join us each week this month as we honor this truth principle.

The October 11, 2020 topic is The Healing Power of Love. When Jesus encourages us to “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,” the ego can become ruffled and righteous, perhaps even more so during these polarized times when societal division prevails. Today we will explore how we may apply the heart’s healing power in the state of consciousness the Great Lover of humankind describes.
