What Do You Expect?

It has been said that we don’t get what we want, we get what we expect! If we ask for a lot, but actually expect a little, we will get the little. Our progress is based on our idea of increase. You can change your idea (thinking) about it, and quickly prove to yourself that it is done unto you as you believe.

People grow old because they don’t expect to increase anything, except years.
There is no reason to lose one’s enthusiasm about progressing, growing, increasing while — at the same time — feeling vibrant and alive. When you expect more to happen, you will begin to attract more. Be sure that what you are expecting is truly what you want. Many people are very good at expecting the worst to happen — and it does. Don’t you think the opposite could also happen? The question to ask yourself is: What AM I thinking?

Habitual negative thinking can be cured by replacing it with a new habit of positive thinking. Each thought builds a new consciousness. Repetition is the key. Here are some affirmations to say that will replace old worn out negative thinking:

I AM VIBRANT HEALTH.
I AM PEACEFUL AND CALM.
I AM LOVE.
I AM WEALTH.
I AM UNDERSTANDING.
I AM APPRECIATED.
I AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL THAT I HAVE.
I AM POWERFUL.
I EXPRESS MYSELF FREELY AND AM CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD.
ALL THE GOOD I AM SEEKING IS SEEKING ME.
I EXPECT THE BEST AND THE BEST ALWAYS HAPPENS!

Planting Seeds of Prosperity

Right now, in this moment, I am one with only God’s presence. There are no false Gods before me. I accept one power, God power, as the guiding light of my life. Unified with this power, I am always abundantly supported by this infinite intelligence.

Prosperous living is my natural state. I call forth the full functioning power of spirit to instantly produce and out-picture affluence, abundance and prosperity. I think wealth and feel wealthy. I am anchored in the consciousness of great richness and attract the likeness of that richness in all people, places and things. Spirit knows no stinginess, covertness, ignorance or laziness. I appreciate and graciously accept its ever-increasing generosity.

I am forever grateful for the continuing flow of Divine supply and expanding goodness in all of my experiences. I am never needy nor greedy. I willingly participate and contribute to the circulation of God’s supply in every way I can. There is always plenty to share and plenty to spare by Divine law.

I joyfully accept the embodiment and manifestation of this absolute Truth, as prosperity is the law of my life. With an abundance of gratitude I release it and let it be, and so it is!

Why Me?

We have all had those challenges that come at the wrong time.  Often  these are the experiences that push us to a particular point where we still need to grow.   The opportunity is there for us to choose to see the glass as half full rather than half empty, pick ourselves up, and continue.

Frequently the question arises: “Is God punishing me?”  Not only does God not punish people, but God is always there to help with any tragedy, disappointment, or heartache. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. The truth is, things happen to people all the time. You may wonder “Why me?”   Here is the answer: “The rain falls on the just and on the unjust.” There is a Spirit of Life, a depth of spirituality that can bolster you and hold you in the palm of Its hand.  There is something supportive and helpful.  There is always wisdom and direction. You can’t lose the Divine Presence that is within you. You may not recognize It and you may think It has forsaken you, but It has not.  You can never lose that.

There is happiness that overrules happenings.

Life is a Blessing

I am one with God and one with all of life.   God has blessed me with an abundance of gifts and talents. Every moment, I am given limitless blessings that allow me to express my divinity.

Each blessing that I encounter is an opportunity for me to look deeper and express more fully the divine expression that I am. I am love. I am peace. I am joy. I am wholeness. I am abundance. I am dynamic, radiant vitality.

God has given me the gift of imagination so that I may always be awakened to the totality of my potential.   The creative power of mind stimulates me and fortifies me. Divine Intelligence brings out my greatest good so that I may be a blessing to others. By staying focused on the truth, I am able to see all people in the light of truth.

Life is a blessing. I am blessed. I bless all things. I bless all life. I live in the all-embracing circle of Divine Love. As a Divine Creation, I give thanks for the blessing of life. I let it be, and so it is!

Prosperity Comes In All Forms and Denominations

Almost a year ago, I befriended an individual – we were fond of each other and would hang out, and go to dinner, and I also gave him spiritual advice. We became closer, he asked me if he could borrow some money to help with his mortgage. I had the extra money and lent it to him without any reservation. He later asked for more. I had it and gave it to him, and never really thought about it because we were looking at becoming more involved. He stated several times, that he would pay me back- but that did not happened. I was frustrated, I felt betrayed and all sorts of negative words I won’t say. I needed treatment, seriously!!! I erased all of his contact information from my cell and deleted him from my life because God obviously needed me to learn a lesson from this. I was hurt (and he did apologize later for hurting my feelings.) There was no contact from him for months. I felt I was free and he was out of my life. I went to class on Wednesday, October 24th, not really feeling like it, but knowing I needed to go. We were talking about superstitions and I brought up the “penny with the face up.” I’m sure most of you know what I’m talking about. I would only pick up pennies if the face was up and leave it alone if it was face down. I would pick up other coins of higher denomination whether they were faced down or up. I didn’t realize I was devaluing the penny. Now, for the past week or so, there has been this penny on the ground outside of my apartment. I didn’t pick it up because the penny was faced down. I did however flip it over for someone else to possibly get it and be “lucky.”

As we were discussing this topic in class, most of us had similar stories of superstition. Rev. Pam basically told me to go home and pick the penny up… it’s prosperity. I said, OK!!

After class I went home, went up stairs, and it popped in my head, oh, I forgot to get the penny. I went back downstairs, hoping it was still on the ground (and it was… all dirty). I picked it up and said “thank you Jesus,” and put it with the rest of my change, went to bed and thought nothing of it.

Now, here is the kicker!!! Thursday, October 25th at 5:06pm I got a text from an unfamiliar number asking me: “Where are you, let’s do dinner, I have something for you.” I’m like, huh?? Oh, it’s this individual (the one who owed me the money). What does he want??

I agreed to go to dinner, which was kind of awkward because I thought I had released my anger and I really hadn’t. We ate a nice dinner, which he paid for. After dinner, he handed me a white envelope with my name on it. I opened it up and it was a check for $600!!! I said thank you.. Thank you God!!! And, thank you pennies!!! Now I will pick them up no matter what!!!!!
