Awakening from Illusion – October 27, 2019

It was C.S. Lewis who wrote, “Friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste in finding one another. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others.” And so from my heart to your own, I thank you for how you so generously demonstrate your inner beauty of heart and soul. As we share our October theme, “The Grace of True Friendship,”

The topic on October 27, 2019, was Awakening from Illusion. It’s been said that suffering occurs when the illusions we have about life clash with Reality. In fact, much of our spiritual practice is about evolving beyond the impact of the false agreements we have made with ourselves. How blessed we are to be part of a spiritual practice that returns us to our true Self, that places responsibility for our awakening right where it belongs: Ourselves.

Wealth: A Quality, Not a Quantity – October 20, 2019

The topic on October 20, 2019, was Wealth: A Quality, Not a Quantity. The true measurement of wealth is not the size of our bank account, the car in our driveway, or the watch on our wrist. Authentic wealth is a state of consciousness, one of knowing Spirit is the source and substance of our supply, that love, kindness, gratitude and generosity are the authentic wealth of the heart and soul. Truly, an abundant life begins within, and then extends without.

Self-Confidence or Self-Doubt-the Choice Is Yours – October 13, 2019

The topic on October 13, 2019, was Self-Confidence or Self-Doubt-the Choice Is Yours. The anatomy of doubt is fear, and fear is false evidence appearing real. We don’t have to fear the appearance of fear which, in fact, arises in the lives of even the most courageous and evolved individuals. Let us follow their example and choose to confidently apply our inner spiritual knowing that we are expressions of Spirit—perfect, whole, and complete—just as we are.

Each of us lives with the full support of this Law, which is founded in Spirit’s unconditional love. Today we will explore how the depth to which we are consciously present to each of life’s moments activates and fulfills this Law on our highest behalf.

Discernment and Discipline = Demonstration – September 29, 2019

As the Dalai Lama wisely reminds us, “Happiness is the highest form of health and is determined more by one’s state of mind than by external events.” There it is, plain and simple, leaving us no wiggle room for not taking responsibility for our individual happiness. There’s paradox present too, for even in the midst of some situational unhappiness, with a shift of the mind—without bypass or denial—we can restore our happiness. If you’re ready to find out how, listen each week as we explore our September theme, “Living from a Heart of Happiness.”

The topic on September 29, 2019, was Discernment and Discipline = Demonstration. The word “discipline” causes us to recoil a bit, and yet maintaining a disciplined mind is what keeps us on track by calling us back to a discerning, faith-filled state of consciousness that empowers the demonstrations for which we pray based upon our trust in the Universal Laws of Life. Let us come together in training our minds to remain focused on our Highest Good.
