Awakening from Illusion – October 27, 2019

It was C.S. Lewis who wrote, “Friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste in finding one another. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others.” And so from my heart to your own, I thank you for how you so generously demonstrate your inner beauty of heart and soul. As we share our October theme, “The Grace of True Friendship,”

The topic on October 27, 2019, was Awakening from Illusion. It’s been said that suffering occurs when the illusions we have about life clash with Reality. In fact, much of our spiritual practice is about evolving beyond the impact of the false agreements we have made with ourselves. How blessed we are to be part of a spiritual practice that returns us to our true Self, that places responsibility for our awakening right where it belongs: Ourselves.
