Radical Self-Honesty – February 2, 2025

I write this in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, which is one of Divine Love, the love that Spirit instilled in our hearts the moment we came into existence. It is with that knowing, loving heart that we unite together in prayers of caring and compassion for all of our brothers and sisters whose lives have been so profoundly affected or lost by the fires across Southern California. We send prayers and heartfelt gratitude to our skilled and dedicated first responders, the brave enduring teamwork of our firefighter men and women who are local and who have come from many other areas, and all of those helping to assist in this unprecedented time of need. May they all be safe and well.

It is during such times of unexpected upheaval, loss and grief that we must take time to tend to both our own hearts and express our deepest loving support and generosity in any way we can to our larger family. This glorious far-reaching Love is a promise etched in forever. I invite us all to honor and celebrate this sacred promise each Sunday of February during which our theme is “It’s All About You.”

The February 2, 2025 topic is Radical Self-Honesty. Radical self-honesty begins with the willingness, the open mindedness to stand before the mirror of inner self-reflection and see beyond outer appearances to the purity of our true nature, our wholeness as the unique individualized expression of Spirit that each of us is. Join us today as we take a courageous leap into this inner evolutionary journey.

The December 29, 2024 topic is Universal Law: An All-day Practice. We tend to think that it is during formal practice of spiritual mind treatment that we activate Universal Law. The truth is, we set the Law into operation and manifest through the power of our everyday thoughts, opinions, beliefs, hopes, and habit patterns. Today, we will look at the more subtle aspects of how we constantly activate the Law in our life.

As we apply the universal laws governing the universe, we validate our birthright of having been empowered to consciously create a life of true abundance. Not to be confused with spiritual materialism, we define abundance as including the qualities of unconditional love, compassion, prosperity, generosity, creativity, and selfless service.

The December 8, 2024 topic is The Proof Is In the Practice. Studying the lives and teachings of awakened beings reveals that their enlightenment resulted from their direct realization of Spirit. And so is it true that we too must enter the laboratory of our own consciousness to connect with Spirit at a level that provides proof, through our spiritual practices, of the magnitude of its presence within us.

The December 1, 2024 topic is The One Life. The One Life that we call God is living itself in us, through us, and as us. As Acts 17:28 reminds us, “for in Spirit we live, and move, and have our being.” It is through our commitment to our spiritual practice that we awaken to this inherent wholeness and beauty that is the ultimate truth of our being.
