Psalm 91, A Lifetime Guarantee that Can’t Be Beat! – June 30, 2024

Loving greetings to you all, and happy Father’s Day to those of you who are a blessing in the lives of those whom you father, and those who have fathered you.

As you will see from our weekly topics, each is based on a timeless teaching from the Bible that is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. Our founder Ernest Holmes referred to the Bible as “The Grand Old Book,” saying this of it: “We shall approach our study [of the Bible] with the idea in mind that we are working out a philosophy of life which deals with man’s relationship to Spirit.” And that’s exactly what we will be doing throughout June, whose theme is “The Wisdom of the Grand Old Book.”

The June 30, 2024 topic is Psalm 91, A Lifetime Guarantee that Can’t Be Beat! Living, moving and having our being “in the place of the Most High” describes a life of abiding in Spirit and its ever-present protection. Protection from what? From false belief in lack, limitation, fear, the “pestilence” that can overtake our minds through the media and societal conditioning. Living in a consciousness of One Power and Presence shields, guards and guides us in all aspects of our lives.

The soil tilled in one’s consciousness can be compared to the commonly known four types: roadside, which is hard, compact, unreceptive; rocky, which lacks sufficient soil and depth for seeds to take root; thorny, which chokes the soil with thistles; and fertile, which welcomes the seeds, nourishes and multiplies them. How receptive and fertile is your garden of consciousness?
