At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.
As I sat to write this introduction to our September theme of the month, “Waking Up to Spirit,” I found this quote by 12th century mystic Mechthild of Magdeburg: “The day of my spiritual awakening was the day I saw—and knew I saw—all things in God and God in all things.” I realized then how the Science of Mind principles are timeless, ageless, for, as we teach, all that there is, is God.
From there I was inspired to create each week’s theme with the intent that as we practice its contents, we each come to that day of authentic awakening to the Spirit that animates our being, whose Love and Law govern the universe, who loves us unconditionally, and whose grace lights our path.
The topic on September 13, 2015, was At-One-Ment Is Our Organic State of Being. Our difficulty in understanding our true nature of at-one-ment with Spirit is because we have never consciously, inwardly experienced it. But here’s the good news: by applying the laws governing the universe, we begin to gather tangible evidence that there is only one Life, one Power, one Presence: The Self of us that is not separate from the Whole of Spirit. Our practice is to practice, practice, practice “one-izing” our consciousness. Then old concepts and cherished beliefs will evaporate into the nothingness out of which they came and we shall no longer be fooled by appearances of separation.
