Loving greetings and welcome to one of my favorite months of the year and it’s theme, Share the Love, Share the Light, Share the Wealth. It’s Friendship Month, and what a joy it is to gather with a community of spiritual friends who inspire, encourage and support one another on the path. The Buddha considered the sangha—the Sanskrit word for spiritual community—to be one of the Three Jewels of spiritual practice. How blessed we are to gather together each week to pray, learn, and celebrate. May this blessing fill your hearts as deeply as it does my own.

The topic on October 1, 2017, was Growing Holy Relationships, Part I. “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.” These heart-touching words from St. Thomas Aquinas remind us not to take for granted those in our lives whom we are blessed to call “friend.” They also invite us to review the quality and depth of unconditional friendship we offer others.
