Psalm 23, The Revelation of Spirit’s Unconditional Love – June 16, 2024

Loving greetings to you all, and happy Father’s Day to those of you who are a blessing in the lives of those whom you father, and those who have fathered you.

As you will see from our weekly topics, each is based on a timeless teaching from the Bible that is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. Our founder Ernest Holmes referred to the Bible as “The Grand Old Book,” saying this of it: “We shall approach our study [of the Bible] with the idea in mind that we are working out a philosophy of life which deals with man’s relationship to Spirit.” And that’s exactly what we will be doing throughout June, whose theme is “The Wisdom of the Grand Old Book.”

The June 16, 2024 topic is Psalm 23, The Revelation of Spirit’s Unconditional Love. “The Lord is my shepherd”–is relationship. “I shall not want”–is supply. “He restoreth my soul”–is healing. “He leadeth me beside still waters”–is nourishment. “Thou anointest my head with oil”–is blessing. “My cup runneth over”–is abundance. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life”–is grace. “And I will dwell in the house of the Lord”–is trust.

Luke 15, The Parable of the Prodigal Son – June 9, 2024

In case you assume “prodigal son” mindsets ended 2,000 years ago, this week’s teaching invites us to examine the foundation of our choice-making process. Is it that of the younger son who went to the “far country,” separate from Source? Or is it like the son who remained “at home” in a consciousness of oneness with Source?

The June 2, 2024 topic is Matthew 16:18, Upon This Rock I Will Build My Church. So described Jesus the Christ metaphorically about the collective consciousness in which his followers would gather together for building their spiritual practice. The Hebrew word for “rock” means stability, faithfulness. Join us today as we explore the rocklike qualities of consciousness upon which we may inwardly build, stabilize and evolve our faith-filled holy ground of Being.

As we navigate the challenges our global family is experiencing it’s easy to question if our prayers are impacting what we are seeing, hearing, and feeling. Keeping our vulnerable hearts open and trusting beyond appearances empowers us to know that Spirit’s unconditional love and support are ever-present. And that’s why this month’s theme is “Embracing Vulnerability.” I invite you to join the beloved community as together we deepen the power of our knowing Spirit’s omnipresence and omniscience absolutely prevail.

The May 26, 2024 topic is Vulnerability Is Victory. Accepting the inherent quality of vulnerability within us is an expression of trust that we have all the support we need to relax and be with the ever-evolving process of our life. It is a recognition that nothing is missing, because we already possess all that is required to awaken to our Essential Nature. So, why not put an end to limitation and step into our authentic victory?

And that’s why this month’s theme is “Embracing Vulnerability.” I invite you to join the beloved community as together we deepen the power of our knowing Spirit’s omnipresence and omniscience absolutely prevail.

The May 19, 2024 topic is Vulnerability Is Authenticity. Vulnerability is an act of authenticity that doesn’t require photoshopping the raw, awkward parts of ourselves that we’d prefer not be seen in our “spiritually correct” portfolio. Free from the ego’s embarrassment of being seen and known is how we reclaim our innocence and follow Jesus’s teaching to “be ye as little children.”

We release fear, anxiety and stress and invite our soul-joy to fully express.

It allows us to open the door of our heart so Spirit may fully enter and energize our awareness of what lives and travels within us and all beings: our True Self.

The April 28, 2024 topic is Living Your Life’s Deepest Purpose. Life’s wake-up calls in their myriad forms have one function: that we become aware that to live our deepest purpose means awakening to our true nature as a spiritual being having a human experience. In the moment that we consciously choose to do so, Spirit celebrates its vision for our life as the unique individualized expression of itself that each of us is.

All that we require resides right within our own heart, nourished by the relationship between our soul and Spirit. It does not require being humanly perfect; it requires seeing our spiritual perfection just as Spirit sees us.

Clear seeing begins when we enter a spiritual practice whose principles and practices lead us from confusion to clarity by releasing the habitual thought patterns that have kept us entrapped in a consciousness of lack, limitation, anxiety, dissatisfaction. As we open our hearts to such a practice, we realize that all along we have been fully equipped to awaken to our true nature.
