Something Within You Just Knows and Knows that It Knows – July 12, 2020

Loving greetings and may you and your loved ones continue to be healthy and safe. As challenging events happen right before our eyes on a daily basis, it is vital to know that we are supported by the power of the Law of Love, a love that calls us to prayer. And when we say yes to this call, we find ways of balancing ourselves and thereby support the world in balancing itself. I remind us all that Spirit’s Love is never diminished by any of the appearances of outer conditions. As we gather together to celebrate the Spirit, let us expand our trust in that Love as we explore this month’s theme, “Practice Your Practice.”

The July 12, 2020 topic is Something Within You Just Knows and Knows that It Knows. The highest spiritual authority within us is a consciousness of knowing, the Self that knows and knows that it knows. This is the vehicle of Spirit through which its intuitive guidance speaks to us with absolute clarity. We are all capable of activating this knowing which has been implanted within us. May our coming together today be an opportunity for us to accelerate this awareness.

Don’t Jump—Leap! – July 5, 2020

The July 5, 2020 topic is Don’t Leapmdash;Leap! There was a time in my life when I was convinced that the only solution to what appeared to be an unsolvable challenge was to jump off a high building. I learned that during such times Grace intervenes, extending a hand that leads us to stop jumping around instead choosing to take a leap in consciousness. Today, let’s take that leap together, spirit-to-spirit.

The Fourth Secret of Answered Prayer – June 28, 2020

Loving greetings and may you and your loved ones be healthy and safe as together we walk through these challenging times. I have no doubt that you, like myself, feel a strong inward call to prayer for our entire global family. As I read articles and watch programs about this situation, I hear the recurring statement that never in our recorded human history has there been such an obvious expression of our interdependence upon one another to now live in such a way that is for the greater good of all humanity.

To the guidelines based on science given to us by the CDC, I add that of the spiritual science of prayer, which inspired this month’s theme, “The Four Secrets of Answered Prayer.” I’ve had some extra assistance from a book I read The Prayer Chest, a novel co-authored by New Thought ministers August Gold and Joel Fotinos.

I look forward to your joining the Beloved Community as we unite in prayer and celebration of the Spirit.

The June 28, 2020 topic is The Fourth Secret of Answered Prayer. It is in the fifth step of Spiritual Mind Treatment—”Release”—that our ultimate trust in the law of prayer occurs in the form of surrender to the wisdom of Spirit. We let go of our attachment to the outcome of our prayer, including the “how” and “when” of it. This is what Ernest Holmes was conveying in his encouraging guidance to, “Pray right and God cannot help responding.”

The Third Secret of Answered Prayer – June 21, 2020

Loving greetings and may you and your loved ones be healthy and safe as together we walk through these challenging times. I have no doubt that you, like myself, feel a strong inward call to prayer for our entire global family. As I read articles and watch programs about this situation, I hear the recurring statement that never in our recorded human history has there been such an obvious expression of our interdependence upon one another to now live in such a way that is for the greater good of all humanity.

I look forward to your joining the Beloved Community as we unite in prayer and celebration of the Spirit.

The June 21, 2020 topic is The Third Secret of Answered Prayer. Whenever authentic prayer appears in our hearts, separation disappears. We consciously sense our oneness with Spirit in the simplest, purest, most direct sense. This is answered prayer, because when we enter this state of consciousness there is no need to ask or affirm anything—we know absolutely that all needs are already met, causing a wordless gratitude to wash over us.

The Second Secret of Answered Prayer – June 14, 2020

I look forward to your joining the Beloved Community as we unite in prayer and celebration of the Spirit.

The June 14, 2020 topic is The Second Secret of Answered Prayer. In addition to activating universal law through Spiritual Mind Treatment, how often during the activities of an ordinary day do we break into spontaneous prayer, asking for nothing but simply as an expression of love, joy, and gratitude for the gift of life? This form of prayer is a way of affirming, “I am grateful for the realization that I AM an individualized expression of pure Spirit.”

Join us this Sunday as together we learn how we can amplify the power of prayer for ourselves and our world.

The Gift of Delay – May 31, 2020

As our global family faces the impact of the novel Coronavirus, no matter how many times we hear or read the words “We’re in this together,” let us remember that they point to a universal truth. For as the master teacher Jesus affirms in Corinthians 12:26: “If one member suffers, all suffer together, if one member is honored, all rejoice together,” which is to say we are one in the Spirit. So each day as we pray for ourselves, loved ones, world leaders and all beings, let us recall his words, knowing that together we will get through this and the day will arrive when we will “all rejoice together,” even in the midst of our collective challenges.

As we come together to celebrate this month’s theme, “The Anatomy of Belief,” know that I hold each one of you and all your dear ones in prayer.

The May 31, 2020 topic is The Gift of Delay. Most of us think of the word “delay” as a synonym for “procrastinate.” But upon taking a closer look, we will realize that by delaying instant responses, reactions and actions might be the higher part of wisdom, that pausing to take a mindful breath leads to wisdom-guided decisions.

The topic on May 10, 2020, was The Boundless Grace of Spirit. In these words of the 23rd Psalm, we have factual evidence of Spirit’s compassion, empathy and generosity: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” Together, let us welcome into our hearts this most excellent medicine.
