You Were Born with Wings. Use Them! – September 11, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

This month Rev. Pam focuses on what might be an uncommon topic in Science of Mind: acknowledging our intimate, personal relationship with God. We will explore this aspect of our union with Spirit through our theme this month, The Alchemy of Divine Love.

The topic on September 11, 2016, was You Were Born with Wings. Use Them! When we consciously awaken our inherent soul-memory that we are connected to the very Source of happiness within us, we magnetize even more joy into our magnetic field. As Rumi reminds us, “You were born with wings. You are not meant for crawling, so don’t. You have wings. Learn to use them and fly.” The destination of our flight: homeward within to the home of love that we may express it in every outward aspect of our life.

In Your Light, I Learn How to Love – September 4, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

This month Rev. Pam focuses on what might be an uncommon topic in Science of Mind: acknowledging our intimate, personal relationship with God. We will explore this aspect of our union with Spirit through our theme this month, The Alchemy of Divine Love.

The topic on September 4, 2016, was In Your Light, I Learn How to Love. So spoke the Sufi mystic Rumi, whose poems break open the heart to the realization of our intimate at-one-ment with God. Likewise, from the mystic Meister Eckhart we read, “God is nearer to me than I am to my own self; my life depends on God’s being near me.” As does each of our lives, my friends, for whether we are sitting in meditation, at the kitchen sink, or walking the dog, there is no separation between our individual spirit and Spirit itself.

Laugh the Laugh of Buddha – August 28, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. The theme for the month of August is Laughter: Spirit’s Medicine of Grace.

Every minister I know wants his or her talk to touch the collective heart of the congregation. Would it surprise you to know that surveys reveal the best ways to achieve this is to cause laughter? It’s not that ministers are frustrated stand up comedians with a pulpit; it’s that laughter is a healing art, a friend on the spiritual journey, Spirit’s most excellent medicine.

The Christian mystic Anthony De Mello tells a story about a group of disciples who seek to learn from a saintly teacher the stages he had passed through in his practices. After describing how he found himself in the Land of Love, a disciple asked, “Was that the final stage of your quest?” “No,” the Maser said. “One day God said, ‘Today I shall take you into the innermost sanctuary of the Temple…and I was led to the Land of Laughter.’”

The topic on August 28, 2016, was Laugh the Laugh of Buddha. A memorable quip from Robert Frost goes like this, “Forgive me, O Lord, my little jokes on Thee, and I’ll forgive Thy great big joke on me.” The greatest joke on us is the illusion that we are separate from Source and therefore don’t see our true image reflected in the cosmic mirror of “My Life Just as It Is.” I’m convinced that when we fully awaken to our true nature, there will escape from our deepest core a laugh so genuine it will be a prayer, the most beautiful prayer we have ever prayed.

The truly spiritual are revolutionaries who are committed to turning from without to within and creating a metamorphosis in consciousness. Stepping away from the hypnotism of societal conditioning and trends, unhooking from outer distractions, they turn to the core of their being and commune with the reality of their godliness. The vehicles that transport them are contemplative prayer, meditation, spiritual study, occasionally taking a retreat, and appreciation for God’s sense of humor implanted in their souls.

Reconnecting to Your Wholeness One Laugh at a Time – August 14, 2016

The topic on August 14, 2016, was Reconnecting to Your Wholeness One Laugh at a Time. In truth, the sense that we have become disconnected to our innate wholeness is an impossibility! It is a joke on ourselves by the ego. The only “reconnection” required is steadfastly reminding ourselves of who and what we are, even as we stand in the quagmire of wondering if we’ve been fooling ourselves all along with our “spiritual work.” We can no more separate ourselves from our inherent wholeness than we can remove our breath from our body, or our inherent sense of humor from our beautiful humanness.

Life’s Challenges: Stumbling Blocks or Stepping Stones? – August 7, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. The theme for the month of August is Laughter: Spirit’s Medicine of Grace.

The topic on August 7, 2016, was Life’s Challenges: Stumbling Blocks or Stepping Stones? The only real stumbling block in our challenges is that the ego becomes so insulted, annoyed, or frightened it wants to repress, deny, or pray them away. Immediately! Put another way, affirming our good is not about negating our challenges; it’s about preparing our consciousness to skillfully work with them. A spiritual practitioner shakes hands with his/her inner opponents out of respect for the gifts of insight and transformation they offer. With gentleness, patience, and willingness to work with our challenges with a sense of humor, we can transform them into stepping stones.

The Magic of Believing – July 31, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

The theme for the month of July is Live a Life of Creativity by Uncovering Your Hidden Treasures. In each one of you there is the unique, individualized treasure of Spirit that you are. Each week we will explore how we may excavate the undiscovered treasures existing within us all.

The topic on July 31, 2016, was The Magic of Believing. Watch out for the “no” factor that seeks to protect the ego. Notice, throughout any given day, how many times you say “no” to life’s gifts. Rather than being a nay-sayer, become a yes-sayer based on your inner conviction that your life is a canvas on which your co-creative mental and spiritual brush strokes paint the artful life you are meant to live. Let the magic of belief breathe through your heart, fertilize your mind, and express through your actions.

The theme for the month of July is Live a Life of Creativity by Uncovering Your Hidden Treasures. In each one of you there is the unique, individualized treasure of Spirit that you are. Each week we will explore how we may excavate the undiscovered treasures existing within us all.

The topic on July 24, 2016, was Faith & Confidence. With faith and confidence in our unbroken connection to our Creator Source and its absolute trustworthiness, what can stand in our way? Only ourselves and the false notions we may be clinging to. As Ernest Holmes reminds us, “Have no idea of limitation; speak forth into Mind with perfect trust.” Let that Mind which is also within you dare to trust and entrust itself into the Law and the Love that points the way to creative living. Happy New Beginnings!

Consent & Consistency – July 17, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

The theme for the month of July is Live a Life of Creativity by Uncovering Your Hidden Treasures. In each one of you there is the unique, individualized treasure of Spirit that you are. Each week we will explore how we may excavate the undiscovered treasures existing within us all.

The topic on July 17, 2016, was Consent & Consistency. Many times we feel we must give ourselves the “consent” to live out of the box, to go against the flow of the status quo. Well, here’s some good news: We don’t, because we can toss aside the faulty map of societal conditioning we were handed for how we are supposed to live our lives. Through our practice of Spiritual Mind Treatment we can consistently work with false beliefs and become a conscious co-creator of the life we are meant to live.

In the Arms of Awe – July 10, 2016

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

The theme for the month of July is Live a Life of Creativity by Uncovering Your Hidden Treasures. In each one of you there is the unique, individualized treasure of Spirit that you are. Each week we will explore how we may excavate the undiscovered treasures existing within us all.

The topic on July 10, 2016, was In the Arms of Awe. In a state of awe, we partner with the divine within us, opening the creative doors of inspiration, wonderment, and perhaps even a little trepidation of the unknown which is beyond our ability to control or manipulate. If we surrender into the arms of our partnership with Spirit, suddenly something bigger begins to emerge—we feel the embrace of something within us that is vaster, that reveals undiscovered gifts, talents, and skills.
