The Inseparability of Love and Forgiveness – November 23, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Gratitude: An Unconditional Quality of Consciousness.

There is a profound reason why the practice of spiritual mind treatment includes the step of thanksgiving: it reminds us that all that we need to wake up to our true nature and live the life divine has already been given to us by our Creator Source. The topic on November 23, 2014 was The Inseparability of Love and Forgiveness. The question is not about whether we ourselves or someone whom we perceive as having slighted us are worthy of forgiveness. The question is about whether or not we have the abundance of love to forgive both ourselves and others. When we withhold forgiveness, we withhold love. As the adage goes, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.” The more readily we forgive, the more we express the Divine Love within us.

Webster’s Dictionary tells us that perseverance is remaining steadfast “in a course of action in spite of difficulties, obstacles, opposition, or discouragement; a continued patient effort.” Our commitment to persevere in our spiritual practices despite any appearances of setbacks, derailments, or distractions is supported by an assisting Grace that empowers us to keep on keeping on. Let us all bend a knee of gratitude in the knowledge that we are not now nor ever will be walking the journey alone.

Appreciation – An Aerodynamic Energy of the Heart – November 9, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Gratitude: An Unconditional Quality of Consciousness.

There is a profound reason why the practice of spiritual mind treatment includes the step of thanksgiving: it reminds us that all that we need to wake up to our true nature and live the life divine has already been given to us by our Creator Source. The topic on November 9, 2014 was Appreciation – An Aerodynamic Energy of the Heart. Authentic appreciation gives our heart wings. These wings fly us directly to our Source that unconditionally pours itself into our lives through our loved ones, our spiritual practices and community, through all Life in its myriad expressions. Even in the face of challenges, appreciation for the clarity and gifts appreciation delivers brings healing. When appreciation arises in our hearts, prayer is the result, which is why it has been said that “Thank you” is the most complete prayer.

The Paradox of Gratitude – November 2, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Gratitude: An Unconditional Quality of Consciousness.

There is a profound reason why the practice of spiritual mind treatment includes the step of thanksgiving: it reminds us that all that we need to wake up to our true nature and live the life divine has already been given to us by our Creator Source. The topic on November 2, 2014 was The Paradox of Gratitude. As we survey the contents of our lives, we notice there are those things for which we are grateful and those which we would prefer to be different than they are. And therein lies the paradox. When it comes to creating our gratitude list, we automatically look outward and count “things” to be grateful for, rather than turning inward and being grateful for the simple fact that we have this precious human incarnation just as it is and just as we are in the present moment.

Sangha ~ A Matrix of Spiritual Energy – October 26, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Friendship ~ The Connective Heartbeat of Spirit.

Friendship is a universal force that draws into our magnetic field—even from great physical distances—those with whom we are attuned and are meant to be in our lives. When we first meet such persons there’s a déjà vu experience, as though we’ve known them forever, perhaps from past lives. Quite frequently, we find this occurring in our spiritual community and what a joy it is when, in the face of a friend, we feel Spirit smiling back at us. The topic on October 26, 2014 was Sangha ~ A Matrix of Spiritual Energy. The Sanskrit word for a community of spiritual practitioners is Sangha, and its energetic impact cannot be over estimated. Ultimately, practicing together as a spiritual community accelerates the path to individual and collective awakening. Why? Because it keeps us on purpose by encouraging open exploration of ourselves, taking spiritual principle beyond theory into practice, and realness in being honest with ourselves and others. The ego is the unique personality of each one of us, while the Self is the same Presence enlivening each one of us. Both are celebrated in the Sangha.

The Soul-Nurturing and Ego-Annoying Gifts of Spiritual Community – October 19, 2014

The topic on October 19, 2014 was The Soul-Nurturing and Ego-Annoying Gifts of Spiritual Community. Most of us know people to smile with, but not to weep with, not to go to for prayerful support in times of profound challenge. Individuals who are active within their spiritual community develop a depth in their outward relationships that supports them to inwardly acquire and practice compassion, trust, humility, and understanding. Personality clashes, differing points of view, personal annoyances—even these are positive occurrences that break down the crusty wall of ego and eventually open our hearts to the realization that we’re all in this together, and that together we will realize that spiritual principle and spiritual community work together to wake us up to our true nature.

Loving in Four Directions – October 12, 2014

The topic on October 12, 2014 was Loving in Four Directions. Unconditional, impersonal love is the very nature of Spirit. It is not a respecter of persons and spreads itself to the East, West, North and South of its creation. It doesn’t care who the enemies of your country are, who your professional or personal competitors are, because all are equally loved. Through Spirit’s example we learn that to love unconditionally is to include all beings as our global family. Our training ground is our spiritual path and community, because it is there that we learn and practice spiritual principles that expand our own hearts which impacts our overall relationship to Life.

Dare to Be Vulnerable – October 5, 2014

The topic on October 5, 2014 was Dare to Be Vulnerable. The depth to which we are willing to be vulnerable is the measure of our capacity for intimacy, first with ourselves, and then with others. The fear of vulnerability is deeply ingrained in our fearful ego; it is counter intelligent to society’s definition of being “strong” and “independent.” And yet how much more inner strength it takes to allow ourselves to be truly seen just as we are in our imperfect perfection. Rather than being careful, let us open our hearts to be care-filled for ourselves, others, and our community.

Unity Doesn’t Come from Uniformity and Comfort Doesn’t Come from Conformity – September 28, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Consciously Connecting to Consciousness.

It happens to all of us. The more “connected” we are to our gizmos of social media, the less we consciously connect to the wonders that surround us throughout the day. Isn’t it time we took back the terrain of our consciousness and live each day consciously? The topic on September 28, 2014 was Unity Doesn’t Come from Uniformity and Comfort Doesn’t Come from Conformity. Unity is a state of oneness, of conscious interconnectedness with all Existence. It is looking through the eyes of wonder at the perfection of Life and disconnecting from the uniformity of the collective consciousness of lack and limitation. Comfort is inner contentment, a quietude of heart wherein nothing is felt to be missing, a state of consciousness wherein conformity with fear, anxiety, self-depreciation and lack of self-empowerment cannot find an entry point. Spiritual rebels unite and find a healing comfort in the evolutionary spiritual practices of their community.

Exercising Dominion Over Your Domain – September 21, 2014

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Consciously Connecting to Consciousness.

It happens to all of us. The more “connected” we are to our gizmos of social media, the less we consciously connect to the wonders that surround us throughout the day. Isn’t it time we took back the terrain of our consciousness and live each day consciously? The topic on September 21, 2014 was Exercising Dominion Over Your Domain. The word dominion was first used in the early 15th century and meant “to rule.” The etymology of the word domain comes from the late Middle English and means “estate, property.” Literally, the only thing over which we have true domain is the estate of our consciousness. There we sit, cosmic queens and kings, ruling our inner kingdom of thoughts, perceptions, beliefs, the cherished opinions residing within our mental estate. The choice is ours whether we will evict toxic tenants that lower our inner property values and replace them with residents of love, peace, joy, abundance, creativity, wisdom. Now that’s being a wise landlord!
