Truth, Bull****, and Soulful Civility – February 18, 2018

Loving greetings and welcome to our monthly glimpse into February’s spiritual explorations and theme, The Path of the Brave Hearted.

The etymology of the word brave is from the late 15th century’s Middle French and means “valiant,” and from the Italian and Spanish “bravo.” Does that cause you, as it does me, to put your spiritual shoulders back, step out of your comfort zone-and perhaps the status quo-and be brave enough to see, accept, and love yourself just as you are? Then to take that same stance for our world family where justice, compassion, and the dignity of all beings is concerned? That, my friends, calls for a collective “Bravo!” May our valiant journey begin now!

The topic on February 18, 2018, was Truth, Bull****, and Soulful Civility. Who among us has not at one time or another relied on BS-ing to worm our way through a sticky situation? To deny this would be even bigger bull****! So whether it’s our own BS or that of others, there are times when truth demands that we take a stand and speak out, just as Jesus did when driving the unscrupulous money changers out of the temple. And even as he did so, love was his motivator and civility informed his righteous indignation. Aren’t we capable of the same?

The topic on February 11, 2018, was Getting Up Close and Personal. Whether we’re placing the zoom lens on ourselves or others, when our focus captures our True Essence, we see the fabric of our being and all beings is that of Love. Our individual and collective flaws are overshadowed by the clarity of this seeing. This is the inner eye through which the master teacher Jesus saw all humanity. We too possess this 20/20 vision, and this week we will share how to see the loving nature within ourselves and all beings.

Embracing and Sharing Your Gifts – December 24, 2017

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life.

It is with great joy that the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles Board of Directors and Practitioners join me in wishing you all the blessings of the season. The topic on December 24, 2017, was Embracing and Sharing Your Gifts. The story of the little drummer boy has become a timeless Christmas Carol, and for good reason. Captured within its lyrics is the message that, just like that little drummer boy, each of us has been born to embrace and deliver our gifts on the planet. Spirit delights in every single one of us, and this line from the carol offers us a reminder of that truth, “Then he smiled at me…,” and so it is that Spirit is unconditionally smiling upon us each and every day that we walk the planet.

The topic on December 17, 2017, was Embracing the Spirit of the Christ. Embracing the spirit of the Christ is about taking ownership of our own inherent Christ Consciousness. As the master teacher himself reminds us, “Truly, truly, I say unto you, he who believes in me shall do the works which I do; and even greater than these things he shall do.” Let us begin by emanating his example of expressing the Christ-like qualities of compassion, unconditional love, forgiveness, kindness, surrender and humility.
