General Well-Being

A Treatment for General Well-Being

Living Spirit within me which is God, uniting me with all good,
makes me one with all people, breaks down every difference
of opinion, calms every tempest of thought, stills all doubt,
casts out all fear.

I let that Divine Presence within me illumine my intellect,
direct my thought, guide my feet, and inspire me. I let that
peace which is the atmosphere of this living Spirit within me
flood me with the knowledge of perfect unity, and I know that
no good thing is withheld from me. Infinite Spirit within me
brings every good and perfect gift, and I accept the great gift of
life which is peace, joy, love, unity and wisdom.

I expect only the good, anticipate only that which is perfect.
I accept God as being perfect in me. Even in those places where
my human mind cannot fathom the apparent mystery of this
Invisible Presence, there is an inspiration of hope, a realization
of faith, a consciousness which is beyond the intellect, and I know
that I am guided into the pathway of good forever.

Sitting in the Purifying Fire of Change – July 26, 2015

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Practice Your Practice.

We’re all familiar with the cliché, “Leap and the net will appear.” But what about leaping without a guarantee, without strategizing a backup plan, or loudly affirming “I’ll have a soft landing in the net?” It is our unconditional trust in the Fundamental Goodness of the Universe and within ourselves that gives us the courage to take the next leap in our spiritual evolutionary unfoldment without knowing what attachments to people, things, or our cherished beliefs and opinions we will have to release in order to take that leap.

So shaky or not—are you ready to begin building the trust that will take your spirit to the next level of clarity, mindfulness, compassion, spirit of generosity, creativity, nonattachment? This is what it means to embody and live this month’s theme.

The topic on July 26, 2015, was Sitting in the Purifying Fire of Change. How challenging it is for us to keep our seat with ourselves when we’re sitting in the fire of challenges that are inviting us to change our concept of self, how we see ourselves in the multi-aspects of our lives. How easy it is to go into denial, to do a spiritual bypass in an attempt to escape being singed by the purifying flames of change. We identify with the “me” that is on fire, not realizing it is the human ego that sees itself as being separate from the Whole. So strong is the impact of false appearances that they melt our true knowing. But take heart! The fire of change leaves totally in tact the true Self, and in its light we catch our reflection as a Spirit Self.

Your Invisible Power

Quote from Your Invisible Power by Genevieve Behrend

“My mind is a center of Divine operation. The Divine operation is
always for expansion and fuller expression, and this means the
production of something beyond what has gone before, something
entirely new, not included in the past experience, though
proceeding out of it by an orderly sequence of growth. Therefore,
since the Divine cannot change its inherent nature, it must operate
in the same manner with me; consequently, in my own special
world, of which I am the center, it will move forward to produce
new conditions, always in advance of any that have gone before.”

This quote was originally taken from The Doré Lectures by Judge Thomas Troward

You Can Try Going Away, but You’ll Always Come Back – July 19, 2015

At the Science of Mind Spiritual Center Los Angeles, you will hear relevant messages, by Rev. Pam MacGregor, that you can apply to everyday life. This month’s theme is Practice Your Practice.

The topic on July 19, 2015, was You Can Try Going Away, but You’ll Always Come Back. Dr. Andrew Newberg, a medical pioneer in the field of neurotheology, wrote a book titled Why God Won’t Go Away, based on the complex relationship between spirituality and the brain. His laboratory tests on Buddhist monks in meditation and Franciscan nuns in prayer provided factual evidence that the spiritual impulse is rooted in the biology of the brain, that once we desire to commune with God, no matter how far we stray on our life’s path, that desire never goes away and we return to our search of a conscious realization of oneness with Source. This, my friends, is our highest purpose in coming together as a spiritual community.

Bear Fruit

I am an individualized expression of God, infinite good. I am free to express this Divine presence and power authentically and honestly. It is impossible to thrive if I hide. I have been given divine authority to let my light shine fully. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last-and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. I accept the sufficiency of gifts and grace, the discipline it requires to persevere and the wisdom to abide in love.

I act with confidence and certainty when presented with an opportunity for expansion. I am governed by Infinite intelligence and its action sustains the awareness of peace, harmony and joy. I surrender to that which is greater than myself and poise myself to receive its guidance, inspiration and direction.

Rising above things as they are, I accept things as the limitless potential they can be. The unseen side of life is filled with an abundance of fertile, creative and productive seed thoughts that produce a lasting and ever productive harvest. I am grateful for this reality. This I accept. This I know. This I believe. This is the truth of my being. I let it be so, and so it is!

Leap, Don’t Jump! – July 5, 2015

The topic on July 5, 2015, was Leap, Don’t Jump! In my own evolutionary process, there was a time when I was convinced that the only solution to what appeared to be an unsolvable challenge was to literally jump off a high building. Rather than taking a leap of trust that there was an assisting Grace to support me in handling what I was facing, death seemed like the ultimate remedy. Grace did indeed intervene. It was then that I found the Science of Mind teachings—or, better put, they found me and I leapt in—body, mind and spirit! All of us have been sent the invitation to stop jumping around and to instead leap into unconditional trust.

I Am That Which I Desire To Be

I am One with all life. I am infused with the presence and power of infinite intelligence. Being one with infinite mind, my mind is continuously guided and directed and the spirit within me controls all my actions. This is my life, and I choose to enjoy and prosper in it.

The door to the larger life is always open! I am the complete embodiment of my desire. I accept that I am that which I desire to be right here and now. My faith carries me to victory. I am the consciousness of success. I am grateful for this demonstration as my experience. My thought is power. It is done unto me as I believe and I believe that it is so, and so it is!
